Breakfast Post

Breakfast is by far, my favorite meal of the day. Sometimes, I have it twice. French bread with butter and Bonne Maman jam, two eggs over easy. Earlier I had greek yogurt with honey, for my dairy, and tea for the caffeine. Not pictured are the orchard apples I got from the farmer's market. Yum! It's important to get protein and eggs are a great source of it! Two eggs ensure all the amino acids.

I'm also a big bread person. Mostly my mom's influence. Back home, we had rice maybe 2 times a week or less, but pasta and bread a lot more frequently (shocking ain't it). My two chinese housemates are just like "whaaat but you're asian too, how can you like bread better". I like rice and all, but warm bread with tea is just so much... nicer.

Bread vs. Rice vs. Pasta?

  1. Wow, greek yogurt with honey sounds amazing! So does Bonne Maman jam. I never had these things but they sound delicious.

I eat rice all the time but not because I like it, it just kind of goes with the meal. Bread is great because it can be crunchy or fluffy and warm and yummy--!

  2. Mmm, looks good!
I've never really been a big breakfast person, but that's just because I'm never up in time to have it! Usually nothing, or maybe an english muffin and brown sugar oatmea for me.

  4. I make a loaf of bread every weekend. I tried to find the recipe but amazingly it's not even on the King Arthur Flour website, despite the fact that I got it from the back of a bag of KAF flour!

That recipe is pretty close though.

I also got into the habit of making spinach omelet every morning for breakfast - my boyfriend gets a spinach and cheese because he's a fussy eater XD Can you imagine it - he gets breakfast in bed every morning and he's still a grump :P
