Exceedingly Interesting
So I've had a very interesting past 36 hours or so. I spent about 26 hours of it in the hospital, completing a PCOS research study. Basically they drew a lot of blood and nothing is wrong with me. They did feed me exceedingly well, which I appreciated. And took quick snaps of. No one really expects hospital food to be really good, huh? Well, I didn't have any special dietary restrictions (besides my allergies) so I think it was a bit out of the norm.
T-T What wasn't cool was forgetting my cosmetic bag at the hospital and having to go back there this morning to fetch it, derp.
Maybe after my second admission, I'll do a write up about the study itself. It's pretty interesting, but that just might be because I'm a bio major.

Holy crap, GOOD food at a hospital? That's an anomaly. Research studies can be pretty interesting, I've done them in the past for a bit of extra cash.
ReplyDeleteI've had a lot of blood work done lately, and they haven't been able to tell me just what's "wrong" with me. D:
ReplyDeleteSix vials taken from an IV in my hand. Another four from the elbow on two different occasions. Crazy stuff.
But.
Did they explain how your blood tests for PCOS work? And why exactly did they have you stay as long as they did? To make sure you were feeling okay?
I don't think I've ever seen hospital food look half that good, ugh wow.
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you're taking part in a study and contributing to disease research!
ReplyDeleteHospital food sure has come a long way! XD
ReplyDeleteIt's great that contributing to a great cause.
That's some amazing looking hospital food!
ReplyDeleteAlso, you're a bio major? How is that?
holy crap whuuuut. Can I join this study too to get some yummy food? XP
ReplyDeleteHaha, it's surprising where you can find some good food.
ReplyDeleteBest airplane food? JAL. Japanese Airlines- no joke.
Before I read the rest of the entry, I totally thought that was something you made and was prepared to be jelly as hell.
ReplyDeleteTurns out, I'm still jelly as hell. brb sneaking into a hospital.
Also somewhat seconding Omi. Asian airlines (personal experience being Korean Air and Asiana) have the best food. America are you even trying.
Holy cow, that's hospital food?! That totally blows my preconceptions away, seriously. I mean, that pineapple... o_o
ReplyDeleteI agree with Timco, jelly as hell! That food looks delicious; especially that first picture, mmm asparagus.
ReplyDeleteAlso, as a fellow bio major I'm totally looking forward to that write up on the study!
The food looks insanely delicious! You'd have to go to a medium-high quality restaurant here for that kind of awesomeness D:
